Butterflies & Buddleias - Digital Embroidery Pattern
This butterfly piece feels a little like pausing beside a buddleia on a warm day and watching monarchs settle in for a moment. The design focuses on soft, detailed thread painting to capture their glowing wings and the tangle of blossoms beneath them. It’s a calm, nature-loving stitch for anyone who enjoys slowing down with something a bit intricate and full of colour.

This is the best needle minder I’ve ever gotten. It’s super well made and keeps the needle nicely centered! It’s definitely my new favorite in my collection!
Product Description
This pattern is all about those quiet summer moments when butterflies graciously decide to sit still long enough for us to admire them. Using simple thread-painting with a single strand, you’ll build up gentle shading and delicate textures to bring the monarchs’ wings to life as they rest on their buddleia blooms. It’s written with intermediate stitchers in mind, but patient beginners who enjoy learning as they go will be perfectly at home - each step is broken down clearly and at a friendly pace.
If you love botanical or wildlife pieces that reward slow stitching, this one has a lovely rhythm to it. It works beautifully as a gift for a nature-loving friend or as a bright, summery piece for your own wall - something that captures a fleeting moment and lets you linger with it a little longer.

Bloom & Blade I is an original embroidered hoop featuring two intertwining vines growing around a silver sword charm. Each vine is stitched in a slightly different green, with its own flowers, meeting and winding together as they rise. It’s a gentle, symbolic piece about balance, connection, and choosing to grow side by side.
Bloom & Blade II is an original embroidered hoop featuring a silver sword entwined with a dense wreath of green vines and small pink blossoms. More enclosed and abundant than the first piece in the series, it feels like a blade slowly being claimed by growth - softened, hidden, and held.

This collection of thread-painting palettes grew out of my own early struggles with choosing and blending colours. I always wished I had a little reference guide to point me in the right direction, so I made one. Inside are 20 curated palettes (each with six DMC shades) that you can stitch into a sampler or simply keep as a digital reference guide for future projects.
