Bloom & Blade II
Bloom & Blade II is an original embroidered hoop featuring a silver sword entwined with a dense wreath of green vines and small pink blossoms. More enclosed and abundant than the first piece in the series, it feels like a blade slowly being claimed by growth - softened, hidden, and held.

Absolutely perfect - even more beautiful in person (if that’s possible!). The magnet is really strong too which is amazing!

Susanna really creates the most beautiful things. This needle minder is beautiful and even better in person 💖
Product Description
Bloom & Blade II continues the Bloom & Blade series, exploring the same central image - a sword wrapped in living growth - but in a slightly different mood.
In this piece, the vines are fuller and more tightly woven, forming an almost wreath-like shape around the blade. Small pink flowers are scattered throughout, giving the embroidery a sense of abundance and quiet persistence, as though the sword has been left in place long enough for nature to fully settle around it. The blade remains visible, but no longer dominant; it feels supported, even protected, by what’s grown around it.
This hoop was stitched slowly and intuitively, with a focus on repetition and rhythm rather than symmetry. I wanted it to feel calm and contained, like something discovered rather than displayed - a small relic from a story half-remembered, softened by time.
Like all pieces in the series, Bloom & Blade II is a one-of-a-kind original. While it shares a visual language with the other hoops, it stands on its own as a quiet meditation on strength being held, rather than wielded.
Additional Details
Bloom & Blade I is framed in a faux wood embroidery hoop that measures 8.5cm (~3.5") tall and wide. With the hanging hardware the total height is around 10cm (~4"), though this can be unscrewed if not desired. It is intended to be kept in the hoop and hung up for display, preferably out of direct intense sunlight. Materials used include the sword which is made from zinc alloy, cotton fabric, regular DMC stranded cotton threads.
Lovingly created in a pet-friendly home. Great care has been taken to keep the piece clean and free from stray fibres, but may not be suitable for those with severe or life-threatening sensitivities.
